Businesses in Delaware, and the nation, currently struggle to find qualified workers who have the skills to meet the demands of today’s labor market. Moreover, it is projected that around 10,000 baby boomers will reach the retirement age of 65 every day between 2011 and 2029. The need for a talent pipeline has never been greater.
The Delaware State Chamber of Commerce’s 501(c)(3) affiliate – The Partnership, Inc. – fosters private sector involvement in workforce development, training, and education to ensure the First State has a sustainable pipeline of talent.

Superstars in Education & Training is charged with recognizing educational programs for innovative programming. These programs contribute to the development of our workforce by creating opportunities, solving identified gaps, and equipping students with career ready skills and training. The awards program allows for others to understand the importance and impact of workforce programs, and how they too can assist in the effort of building up Delaware’s most important resource—our people. Through the publicity given through this award, the hope is that the programs will be replicated in other schools and industries so that we, as a state, continue building talent pipelines.
