annual events

From networking breakfasts to impactful policy discussions and our signature Annual Dinner, we host a dynamic lineup of events throughout the year with the goal of bringing together business leaders, policymakers, and community partners. Whether honoring excellence and leadership, exploring solutions to workforce and economic challenges, learning about new innovations, or showcasing Delaware’s unique strengths, each event offers unmatched opportunities to connect, engage, and shape the future of our state.

ANNUAL DINNER

With more than 1,100 business, community, and government leaders, Delaware’s premier business event has always been the place to be for high-level networking. Held the evening before the General Assembly returns to session, the Annual Dinner features a keynote speaker, remarks from the governor, and serves as an opportunity to mingle with Delaware's decision makers. A highlight of the night is the presentation of the Josiah Marvel Cup, awarded annually to a Delawarean who has made an outstanding contribution to the state, community, or society.

SPRING MANUFACTURING & POLICY CONFERENCE

The Spring Manufacturing & Policy Conference, held in Dover each spring, shines a spotlight on the critical role manufacturers play in driving Delaware’s economy. The event features a keynote from Delaware's governor and  the opportunity to network with plant managers, manufacturing professionals, and state and local policymakers. The conference also includes the reveal of the annual
Coolest Thing Made in Delaware winner, an online voting, bracket-style tournament that increases exposure to the many critical products made in the First State and the career opportunities within the sector.

NAVIGATING DELAWARE PATHWAYS

Held every April, the Navigating Delaware Pathways summit is a full-day experience designed to unite educators, higher education professionals, and employers in a comprehensive exploration of education and workforce development. The program also honors the Superstars in Education & Training winners during a lunchtime award ceremony.

END-OF-SESSION POLICY CONFERENCE

As Delaware’s legislative session inches towards adjournment each year, the End-of-Session Policy Conference highlights key bills before the General Assembly, with first-hand insights from the policymakers who introduced and sponsored them. A key highlight of the event is hearing directly from House and Senate leadership on recent activity in their respective chambers.

CHAMBER CHASE GOLF TOURNAMENT

Held the Wednesday after Labor Day in Rehoboth Beach, the Chamber Chase Golf Tournament benefits the Delaware Employers and Employees Voter Education Fund—the 501(c)(4) affiliate of the State Chamber. Proceeds support voter education initiatives, including tools like the
Delaware Competitiveness Bluebook and Legislative Roster, as well as resources on key issues, candidates, and elections.

DEVELOPING DELAWARE

Delaware may be small, but its diversity is a powerful asset. Across our three counties, each community offers lessons in innovation and opportunity. When we collaborate, we spark ideas that drive job growth and business success. Held each fall in Dover, Developing Delaware brings these conversations to the forefront—tackling topics like
site readiness, retail, housing, broadband access, and more—to fuel solutions for our state’s economic future.

SUPERSTARS IN BUSINESS

Each November, the Superstars in Business awards luncheon honors outstanding businesses and nonprofit organizations for their achievements and impact. The event also features the presentation of the prestigious Marvin S. Gilman Bowl, recognizing an individual who has made significant contributions to Delaware’s business community.

TASTE OF DELAWARE

Every December, we travel to our nation’s capital to celebrate Delaware Day — the day Delaware ratified the U.S. Constitution and became the First State -- alongside our honorary host, U.S. Senator Chris Coons. The Taste of Delaware showcases the finest culinary traditions from the state, offering a delicious sampling of the flavors that make Delaware truly unique.
