The Taste of Delaware in Washington, D.C. is hosted by the State Chamber and honorary host U.S. Senator Chris Coons. Held each year on the first week of December, the event honors the traditions that made our state the first to ratify the United States Constitution..
Delaware is one of America’s largest producers of corn, milk and soybeans. Sussex County ranked first among America’s counties in broiler chicken production. Delawareans have turned many of these products into world class cuisine. From the legendary pizza pies of Grotto Pizza to the homemade ice cream at UDairy Creamery, just to name a few, Delaware products are well known for their fresh, natural and tasty ingredients. With wonderful resources, scenic beaches, parks and tax-free shopping, Delaware has worked hard to become a place that residents, travelers and businesses enjoy.
Each December, vendors travel to the country’s capital to showcase Delaware’s lively culinary scene and tourist attractions. If you are interested in exhibiting or sponsoring this year’s event, contact Kelly Wetzel.
