We gather advocates of free enterprise who are committed to strengthening Delaware’s business climate and ensuring long-term prosperity. One of the most impactful ways for our members to shape policy and regulation is by engaging in our policy committees. Guided by our experienced government affairs team and chaired by a member organization, our policy committees' structure and process have earned a reputation as a trusted, thorough, and balanced influence in the legislative process. Meeting regularly to examine issues affecting employers and employees and review proposals in the pipeline, they provide every member with the opportunity to get involved and help drive solutions at the grassroots level.

AGRICULTURE As one of Delaware's top sectors, strategic modernization in agriculture is critical to ensuring long-term sustainability, food security, and economic growth. The Agriculture Committee is a quarterly forum for leaders from industries like agriscience, agritourism, poultry, food and beverage processing, equipment and machinery, and more to come together and advise the State Chamber and help shape policies that support sector growth and sustainability and promote agriculture’s vital role in Delaware’s economy. |
ENVIRONMENT & ENERGY The Environment & Energy Committee brings together leaders from utilities, industry, development, manufacturing, legal, and other sectors quarterly, and more frequently during legislative sessions. The committee serves as a central forum for engagement and collaboration with state agencies and addresses topics like reliable and affordable energy, the advancement of renewable energy, responsible land use, water quality and availability, site remediation, and broader permitting processes and regulations. |

HEALTH CARE The Health Care Committee brings together companies who represent the many industries within the sector—healthcare providers and facilities, biotechnology and pharmaceuticals, health insurance, PBMs, and more—to provide a thorough look at controlling costs, streamlining regulations, and supporting innovation. |
INFRASTRUCTURE & TRANSPORTATION This committee brings together leaders from businesses, construction, trades, and other stakeholders to address the vitality of Delaware’s transportation system and its ability to support growing industries. Meeting quarterly, the group works with state agencies to provide input on topics like site readiness, permitting, and power and data demands that support economic growth. |

LABOR & EMPLOYMENT The Labor & Employment Committee addresses key workplace policies and regulations impacting Delaware employers and employees. Meeting quarterly, the committee brings together representatives from diverse industries to provide a comprehensive perspective on issues such as wages, workers’ compensation, paid leave, workforce development, employer–employee relations, and workplace equity. |
MILITARY & VETERAN AFFAIRS The Joint Military Affairs Committee ensures Delaware’s service members, veterans, and their families are supported through policies that facilitate workforce integration, economic opportunity, and community engagement, while strengthening the business community's connection to the Delaware National Guard and veteran-owned enterprises. It meets quarterly and includes members from New Castle County and Middletown Area chambers. |

MANUFACTURING Serving as manufacturing sector's advocate at the state and local government level, the Delaware Manufacturing Association meets quarterly to discuss the industry's challenges, identify solutions, and advise the State Chamber on topics that specifically impact manufacturers such as regulations, supply chain disruptions, trade and tax policies, and more. |
RETAIL The Delaware Retail Council works to support and improve the retail climate in Delaware. The group meets quarterly—and monthly during the legislative session—to receive real-time policy and regulatory updates, provide feedback on proposals, and advocate to policymakers as the voice of the retail industry in the state. |

SMALL BUSINESS The Small Business Alliance connects the many voices of small businesses across the state into a single, powerful advocate before the legislature. It champions multi-industry policies that foster growth for new and existing businesses and support job creation and retention, while offering thoughtful feedback on proposals from policymakers. This group meets quarterly. |
TAX & FISCAL POLICY The Tax & Finance Committee reviews taxation issues to help ensure Delaware’s tax-friendly environment remains fair and competitive. Regular meetings provide members with firsthand policy briefings and the opportunity to serve as a trusted voice in evaluating proposed legislation through the lens of supporting growth and long-term economic stability. |

TECHNOLOGY The Technology Committee brings together business leaders, innovators, and policymakers to address issues at the intersection of technology and policy. The committee meets quarterly to focus on advancing innovation by addressing topics like cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, data privacy, and the infrastructure needed to support the growth of tech-driven industries. |
YOUNG PROFESSIONALS The Delaware Young Professionals Network (DYPN) encourages ambitious young professionals to get involved in the State Chamber and further their professional growth.
