Each year, the Delaware State Chamber of Commerce and its affiliate, the Delaware Manufacturing Association, seek to determine the Coolest Thing Made in Delaware. The contest aims to highlight Delaware’s vibrant and diverse manufacturing industry, which employs more than 26,000 Delawareans, and promote the sector as a top career path.
This competition is an engaging and imaginative online voting, bracket-style tournament designed to allow Delawareans to choose the coolest thing made in our state. Simultaneously, it aims to educate the general public about the manufacturing industry in Delaware, as well as its impact, careers, and products. What's the coolest thing made in Delaware? CONTEST RULES:
Questions? Contact Kerri at [email protected].
- The product must be manufactured in Delaware.
- The company's headquarters doesn't have to be in Delaware, but the product must be created in a Delaware facility.
- The product must go through a manufacturing process. For instance, a restaurant with "made-to-order" chicken tenders doesn't qualify, but a food manufacturer producing frozen chicken nuggets does. The final decision on competition participation lies with the Delaware State Chamber of Commerce.
- Once a product has won the competition, it is not eligible to win again.
- Only one product per company may compete in the Top 16.
- Public voting happens on the Woobox platform. A person can vote once per device daily. Once a device is used for a vote, it can't be used for another vote in the same round or match-up until 24 hours pass.
- Attempting to surpass the one-vote per person per device per day limit, whether through internet bots or other means, is strictly prohibited and may lead to disqualification for the nominee or contestant.
