Superstars in Business Awards Luncheon

The Superstars in Business inaugural award, the Gilman Cup, was presented to Albert R. Morris. More than 300 people attended the awards luncheon, held in the

Gold Ballroom at the Hotel du Pont in Wilmington.

Award winners from the past 10 years of the Superstars in Business program stopped for a group shot after the luncheon. The program highlighted a decade of business superstars.

Delaware's Governor-elect Jack Markell was the keynote speaker at the luncheon.

When addressing the state's economic situation, Markell said,

"We need the State Chamber of Commerce now more than ever before."

Martha Gilman, Carla Markell and Muriel Gilman joined at the luncheon, which

honored the late Marvin S. Gilman, who served as an exemplary leader and a paragon of small business in Delaware.
