Sponsorship Opportunities

Sponsoring a Delaware State Chamber of Commerce event is a great way to put your company’s name in front of 2,800 State Chamber member businesses. A variety of sponsorship opportunities are available including mixers, luncheons, dinners, legislative events and annual affiliate events.

 

All State Chamber sponsorships include:

  • Your company name, indicating that you are a sponsor, appears prominently on invitations that are sent to over 2,800 Chamber members.

  • The event is listed, with your company name as a sponsor, in Delaware Business, the Chamber’s award-winning bimonthly magazine. (Deadlines permitting.)

  • The event is listed with your company name as a sponsor on the State Chamber's Web site.

  • Your company name will be included in all press releases to the media and in other public information notices.

  • Your company will be recognized at the event.

  • Complimentary seats based on sponsorship level.

EVENING MIX & MARKETS

Anticipated attendance: 100 – 200 

The Chamber holds three to four Evening Mix & Markets each year in both New Castle and Sussex Counties. These popular networking events attract upwards of 100 people. Sussex County events are often paired with political or policy forums.

 

Sponsorship Level: $500

 

NETWORKING BREAKFASTS

Held Monthly

Anticipated attendance: 40-75

Networking Breakfasts are held on the third Tuesday of every month either at the Chamber or off-site at a member company. These events are all about making new contacts and cementing existing relationships. The event sponsor is given the opportunity to make brief remarks at the event. At the breakfasts held at the Chamber, limited exhibition space is available to members for free on a first-come, first-served basis. Sponsorships are limited to one per event.

 

Sponsorship levels:

Chamber Breakfast: $75

Off-Site Breakfast: Host supplies a light continental breakfast and coffee/tea.

 

ANNUAL DINNER

January 14, 2008

Keynote speaker: Kenneth D. Lewis, CEO, Chairman & President, Bank of America

Anticipated attendance: 1,100 +

The Annual Dinner is the signature event on the State Chamber’s calendar. The 2007 dinner attracted 1,100 attendees from several hundred businesses, as well as all three members of Delaware’s federal congressional delegation, Gov. Ruth Ann Minner and more than 50 state officials. Recent keynote speakers have included Penn State President Graham Spanier, George W. Bush (during the 2000 campaign), DuPont’s Chad Holliday, and presidential advisor and political pundit David Gergen. The Annual Dinner also features the presentation of the Josiah Marvel Cup Award. ADVOCATES OF HOPE

Advocates of Hope: Raising Cancer Awareness in the Business Community is designed to deliver information about cancer, prevention and available resources to employers and their employees

JOINT CHAMBER TABLETOP NETWORKING EVENT
October 2008
Anticipated attendance: 700+
The Delaware State Chamber of Commerce and the New Castle County Chamber have partnered to bring an affordable Tabletop Networking Mixer to the Chase Center on the Riverfront each October. 150-plus tabletops and larger spaces are marketed to Chamber members.

LEGISLATIVE BRUNCHES & AFFILIATE CONFERENCES

March 2008 – Spring Legislative Brunch & Manufacturing Celebration

June 6 2008 – End-of-Session Legislative Brunch 

Anticipated attendance: 150-250

The Spring Legislative Brunch & Manufacturing Celebration combines a trade show and conference targeted to manufacturers with the Spring Legislative Brunch which is open to all Chamber members and features keynote remarks by Gov. Ruth Ann Minner. In June, the End-of-Session Legislative Brunch features remarks by House and Senate leadership.

STATE CHAMBER LEADERSHIP SERIES

Held Quarterly

Anticipated attendance: 100-200

The Leadership Series connects State Chamber members with Delaware’s corporate leaders and decision-makers. Lunch is provided. Past speakers include: U.S. Senator Joseph R. Biden Jr., U.S. Senator Thomas R. Carper, U.S. Congressman Michael N. Castle, Bruce Hammonds (then MBNA President and CEO), UD President David Roselle, Wilmington Trust Chairman and CEO Ted T. Cecala and ING DIRECT CEO Arkadi Kuhlmann.

SUPERSTARS IN BUSINESS

November 2008

Anticipated attendance: 300+

The Marvin S. Gilman Superstars in Business Awards, named for one of Delaware's leading small business entrepreneurs, are presented to Chamber member companies that demonstrate excellence in small business management and innovation. Winners are chosen in categories based on the number of employees per company, and one award is given to an outstanding nonprofit corporation. Winners receive the Marvin S. Gilman Superstars in Business award during a luncheon ceremony at the Hotel du Pont’s Gold Ballroom.

SUPERSTARS IN EDUCATION

Funded by the business community, Superstars in Education is a statewide awards program that promotes and shares programs and best practices in education that show measurable results and raise student achievement. Winners are recognized at an awards dinner at the Chase Center on the Riverfront that attracts more than 500 business and education leaders.
