Employer's Association Managing and maintaining human resource information is a necessity for every modern company but it is often a challenge for small to medium-size businesses. The MidAtlantic Employers' Association (MEA) is now offering State Chamber members human resource support as a new Preferred Provider.
"Every company shares the challenges of getting and keeping good employees," says James D. Randall, chairman of the Small Business Alliance Benefits and Services Committee. "It's equally important that companies keep up to date on employment policies and laws."
MEA, which serves thousands of companies in Delaware, eastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Maryland, will provide State Chamber members the following at no cost: -
an electronic HR newsletter with information about HR laws and updates,
- a sample employment policy handbook template that can be customized,
- a half-day onsite human resources audit,
- electronic employment posters for Delaware, and
- two free seats to an MEA half-day training session.
Also, discounts on MEA membership and MEA's publication, Delaware Employers' Guide to Employee Relations Laws and Regulations, will be made available to State Chamber members.
In addition to their new status as a State Chamber Preferred Provider of benefits, MEA released the Delaware State Wage & Salary Survey,
which contains the most current and comprehensive, local
information based on a survey conducted in 2004. The research
sample consisted of more than 12,000 Delaware employees and over
80 job titles. State Chamber members receive a discount on the
publication. To learn more about the new preferred provider
benefit of human resource services and information, call MEA directly at (800) 662-6238. |
