DPPI Initiatives and Partnerships
Vision Coalition of Delaware - DPPI has been intricately involved in Delaware’s ongoing, business-led public education reform movement.
Knowledge-Based Partnership Conference Series - DPPI has been a co-sponsor with the University of Delaware of the Knowledge-based Partnership Conference series. Topics have included: Creating Green Energy Economies for Delaware, the Region and the Nation, Creating Knowledge-based Partnerships, Creating a Livable Delaware, Delaware Education for a Global Economy, Stronger Health-Based Partnerships, Vision Coalition of Delaware, Creating New Economies for Delaware and The Future of the Nonprofit Sector.
Political Debates - DPPI has also been active in conducting topic-oriented political debates for statewide candidates.
How Delaware Compares - DPPI’s partnership with UD also led to How Delaware Compares, an inventory of the state’s standing on key quality-of-life and economic indicators. This project not only provides timely Delaware-focused data, but also explores the findings, by including analysis, insight, and context from faculty experts in their respective fields.
Studies - DPPI has conducted studies on school finance, water system infrastructure, health care and health insurance and the state’s permitting process. All have led to important changes in Delaware public policy.
