Community. On behalf of the 2009 Advocates of Hope (AOH)
Committee, I invite you to view our brief video. This video
provides helpful and moving testimonials from cancer survivors,
caregivers, and colleagues – including First Lady Carla Markell,
and Founding AOH members Jim Randall and Linda Drake.
After watching the video, we
encourage you to complete the online assessment of your
workplace. When you provide contact information, you will
receive communication offering your company assistance in
continuing to develop workplace plans for dealing with cancer in
your work environment – for those who are newly diagnosed, or
caregivers for family members or survivors returning to work.
Helpful resources are also available for work teams that have
been impacted by cancer. We look forward to your active
participation and welcome your feedback about this important
initiative.

Awareness in the Business Community was launched in 2005 in
response to Delaware’s cancer rates and their impact on
employers and the workplace. The goal of the State Chamber’s
cancer awareness initiative is to deliver information about
cancer, prevention and available resources to Delaware employers
and their employees.
